John Clancy

John has training, skill and experience in a wide range of mediums; he is a graduate of SUNY Farmingdale with a degree in Advertising, Art and Design and has been an Art Director for more than 25 years. In addition to studying both watercolor and oil painting techniques at the Art Students League in NYC he has taught figure drawing at Yukio Tashiro's Creative Art Workshop. An accomplished portrait artist, John specializes in the lost art of "Miniature" portraiture.
John's works have been exhibited in art galleries nationally and are in collections worldwide.
His works have won him numerous awards and are included in Former Governor Hugh Carey's
personal collection. Collections are also at Benihana's corporate office, the VA Hospital of Suffolk County, NY and he has been written up in both L.I. Golfer Magazine and American Artist Magazine.
